The Commercial & Operations teams within Pub Company ensure that we have the right people running the right pubs with the appropriate retail agreement.
The team of Retail Development Managers (RDMs) are integral to delivering the Pub Company vision of becoming ‘first choice for customer and consumer’. An RDM has accountability for an area of leased and tenanted pubs and will have responsibility for identifying opportunities to form the Operational Plan for that area and the delivery of that plan over a rolling 12 months.
Our Retail Development Executive (RDE) programme consists of an initial two month induction during where you’ll meet all the departments within Charles Wells. This time gives you an understanding of what each department does and how we all link together to support our Customers. After this, the next stage of the Development Programme is a placement within each department of Pub Company to gain greater in depth knowledge before taking on a small but gradually increasing number of pubs to operate for a period of six to twelve months. Dependent upon progress and successfully completing all stages, you should be able to run a full area of pubs within two years of starting your RDE Development Programme.
The Commercial Team are responsible for the asset management of Pub Company’s properties and all of the legal and industry related compliance aspects of operating a tenanted pub estate.
