130 years’ experience squeezed into a four year programme.
When you’re setting out in the workplace, we know it’s important to start as you mean to go on. That’s why our Apprenticeship schemes give you all the skills you need to join us for a long, rewarding career. Whether you join us in Engineering or Finance, you’ll be amazed how much you’ll learn right from the start – and how quickly you’ll feel like part of the team.
Follow our graduate scheme in sales or production, or join one of our many apprenticeship schemes.
Sales Graduate Scheme
Our two year sales graduate scheme introduces you to every aspect of sales and marketing. Working in a new department every three months you will cover category management, brand marketing and customer marketing. Once you have a clear grounding in marketing you will join our telesales team and establish yourself in a sales role before joining our national field sales team. Throughout this period you will receive a structured management development programme supported by your own senior manager as mentor.
Production Graduate Scheme
Our two year production graduate scheme will provide you with an in depth understanding of all aspects of modern production processes and practice. You will work in engineering, packaging, brewing and logistics gradually increasing your responsibilities as you progress into a supervisory role. Throughout this period you will receive a structured management development programme supported by a senior production manager as your mentor.
Commercial Services Apprenticeships
An apprenticeship with Commercial Services will give you an insight into all of the legal and commercial aspects of operating a pub estate, from tenancy agreements, rent reviews and disputes through to licensing, litigation and resolving business interruption.
Working as part of a small vibrant team where no two days are ever the same, a commercial apprenticeship offers a fantastic grounding of working in line with legal and industry related compliance, business administration and process.
These four-year apprenticeships will give you a full knowledge of end-to-end beer production. When you’ve finished, you’ll be accredited as an Electrical and Mechanical Engineer. You’ll have a wealth of experience in an innovative FMCG Engineering environment, as well as knowledge of the centuries old brewing process.
Once you’ve qualified, you’ll work within our Engineering Department. But during training, you’ll also work throughout the production and packaging teams, building up knowledge of the processes and equipment. By the end of your four years, your rounded understanding will help to keep our sophisticated brewing equipment in peak condition.
A finance apprenticeship will put you right at the heart of our business – and once you’ve completed it, you’ll have a vital role to play in driving our future. You’ll join a team of about 25 people, giving you the best of both worlds. It’s small enough to be friendly and welcoming. But it’s big enough to offer you great opportunities for progression.
Whether you ultimately decide to join us in Management Accounting (which helps our trade teams develop commercial deals) or Corporate Accounting (which deals with everything from audit to credit control), your prospects are just as bright as you are. And if you want to progress through your ACCA exams in the years to come, we’ll give you all the funding and time you need.
