Community Activity
Our home town community in Bedford is important to us, and we want to protect it for future generations. Similarly, the communities around each and every one of our pubs is precious to them and they play a crucial role in the fabric of that society.
It's therefore important for us to show responsibilty for those around us.
- As a founder member of the BedSafe scheme, we continue to be an active and diligent member of our home town project, which seeks to encourage safe and secure environments in which to enjoy responsible alcohol consumption.
- Charles Wells Ltd established a charitable donation scheme, Eagle Aid , in 2004?? It currently donates a community chest of £20,000 to charitable causes nominated by its pubs so that tangible support is given to the projects closest to the hearts of the local community it operates in.
