Our Code of Practice - our relationship explained

Our Code of Practice explains the relationship between Charles Wells Pub Company and our licensees in great detail.

It provides a comprehensive overview of what you can expect from us if you choose to enter into a tenancy or lease agreement with us. Equally, it details your responsibilities and commitments under the terms of your agreement. The Code of Practice is approved under current industry guidelines and should be read in conjunction with the enhanced UK Pub Industry Framework Code of Practice which has applied since 1st January 2012.

Anyone choosing to run their own pub should read the framework code before progressing their interest with Charles Wells. A copy can be found on the website of the British Beer and Pub Association (BBPA) website or downloaded here.  The Framework Code of Practice is legally binding, with the exception of changes that are being made to our own Code of Practice which will come into effect no later than 31st March 2012.

Charles Wells Pub Company's current Code of Practice will be provided to anyone progressing their interest in running a Charles Wells pub but is also available to download and should be read in conjunction with the March 2012 addendum for tenancy agreements or  lease agreements.
