The Three Horseshoes is a traditional 16th Century pub just a few minutes from the busy A41 but tucked away down a narrow lane which opens out on to the Grand Union Canal. First impressions are breathtaking. It is quintessentially charming - full of beams, nooks and crannies and three inglenook fireplaces. In winter you will be greeted with roaring log fires. In summer enjoy dining al fresco on the peaceful canal side patio where you can while away the hours watching the boats sail through the swing bridge.
Food:

Traditional pub food is served all day every day. Firm favourites like home made Steak and Ale Pie or Sausage and Mash are sure to tempt anyone looking for good wholesome fayre. On Sundays a full roast dinner is served with all the trimmings. All food is freshly prepared and served from 5.30pm every evening.

Bar Meals:

Choose from a wide selction of bar snacks from Baguettes, Salads, nibbles and dips, scampi and chips, 10oz rump steak, sausage and mash and much more served 12noon to 5.30pm.

Entertainment:

First Monday of the month is Comedy on the Canal. An absolute sell-out every month with top class comedians hosted by Duncan Oakley and frequently featuring the famous Robin Ince who hails from nearby Berkhamsted. Tickets £10 so book early and arrive before 7.30 if you wish to eat. Every other Sunday afternoon we have Sunday Chill Out from 4 till 6 with Steve Jones (saxophonist with Elkie Brookes' band). Tuesdays night from 9pm is Quiz Night which is free to enter. The winners get either a bottle of wine or four pints of beer. It is followed by a raffle which can accumulate a jackpot of several hundred pounds but you have to beat THE WHEEL OF FORTUNE…However the quiz night is postponed in the summer because the pub is just so busy we wouldn't fit everybody in.

Real Ales:

The well kept real ales are usually Wells Bombardier, Courage Directors and Wells Eagle IPA as well as guest ales
