After saving Hitchin’s Radcliffe Arms – Pizza, Pots and Pints announces reopening date

After securing the future of The Radcliffe Arms on Walsworth Road, Hitchin the award-winning Pizza, Pots and Pints chain are inviting fans of light crispy artisan pizza, homecooked bubbling pots of comfort food, and beer from around the world to celebrate its reopening on 26th October.

Everything about Pizza, Pots and Pints is an obsession for those who run the business, with the concept being based around the idea of the perfect place to enjoy a pint with friends and the food that would be an ideal accompaniment.

The Radcliffe Arms’ opening team consists of Sam Adams, a huge beer fan, and Craig Billington, a foodie perfectionist. They’ve been with the company from the start and have taken the Pizza, Pots and Pints idea and run with it, making sure the homemade food served alongside beers from around the world perfectly matches the passionate and quirky atmosphere that their guests love.

This is the fourth Pizza, Pots and Pints in the fast-growing chain to open and, as Director, Craig Mayes explains, this one will be extra special: “We’re really pleased to be opening our new Pizza, Pots and Pints at The Radcliffe Arms. We know how important this pub is to local people and having spoken with many of them over the past few weeks we’re inspired by their enthusiasm for our ideas and what we’re bringing to their doorstep. The fact that we’ve secured this popular pub’s future perfectly fits with the community spirit at every Pizza, Pots and Pints and adds something extra special to the reopening of The Radcliffe Arms.”

Once reopen, the pizzas and terracotta pots, such as bubbling mac ‘n’ cheese, will be handmade to order, with gluten free options available that don’t compromise on taste. The food is perfectly complimented by the selection of drinks which include draft beer brewed just up the road in Bedford, as well as others from around the world, and an extensive wines, spirits and soft drinks list that offers something for everyone.

But, as Craig Mayes adds, it’s not just the food and drink that has helped Pizza, Pots and Pints become so popular: “We see our guests as part of our extended Pizza Pots and Pints family and so we are always hosting offers and events to suit all tastes, such as 2-4-1 Mondays, Live Music Fridays and Sunday Roasts. Come along on the 26th October 2017 and discover all that Pizza, Pots and Pints has to offer, there is no need to book and will even be giving out free samples of our pizza on the night!”

If you share the same passion for homemade food and beer, you can also play a part in The Radcliffe Arms futures. Sam and Craig are looking for excellent people to fill full and part-time roles in all areas of the business, so call the pub’s recruitment hotline, on 07866 934462 if you’re keen to be a part of the team.
